SEPTEMBER POOL SCHEDULE
We have made a few changes to the current pool schedule.
We will have a Family Fun Movie Night scheduled for Friday, September 4th from 7-10 p.m.
During the event this Friday the grounds will be open to members allowing them to picnic from 7-10. Movie Night will be Friday, September 4th from 7:30-10:00 p.m. featuring Disney's the Incredible. The grounds will opened for this event as well.
We encourage you to invite friends and family members. However, you must accompany your guest and pay the guest fee.
Monday Sept. 7th is Labor Day. The pool will have Labor Day Fun and Games starting at 2:00 and pool will close at 7:30 p.m.

Club OverviewThe Cheverly Swim and Racquet Club is a private, non-profit corporation established in 1955 on a beautiful five-acre parcel of land located just minutes from Washington, D.C in the town of Cheverly, Maryland.Surrounded by trees, the club's facilities are among the finest in the Washington Metro area. Members enjoy the use of a magnificent pool that is bordered by beautifully landscaped grounds and picnic facilities. A fenced-in 30-foot circular baby pool with chairs, tables, and shade umbrellas makes club membership a must for parents with infants and young children. There are six well-maintained tennis courts: four clay and two Har-Tru. A snack bar sits adjacent to the clubhouse, locker rooms, and showers. The pool also provides equipment for basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, and Ping-Pong, swimming lessons, and social activities for all ages. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Swimming The pool is one of the largest in the area, suitable for use by the whole family. The 25 meter by 25 yard dimension includes a large diving well, 13 feet deep with a low and high diving board. Lit underwater at night for evening swimming, the pool also has special areas for children and a water slide. The club sponsors a competitive swim team, with excellent coaches. The team competes in the Prince-Mont. Swim league and usually finishes near the top of its division. Private and group swim lessons are also available. Pool lifeguards and staffs are all certified in Red Cross lifesaving and other safety programs.
TennisThe six courts at the Cheverly Swim and Racquet Club are of the very best quality. So is the club's tennis program, designed for both youth and adults. A tennis professional, Bill Barnes, coaches the junior program. For the adults, the club sponsors a full-scale tennis program, including round robin and ladder tournaments. Tennis lessons are made available to all members, but anyone of any skill may enjoy use of the courts or practice wall near them. |
