Cheverly Swim & Racquet Club is a private, members only, social club on a beautiful five-acre parcel of land, just minutes from the District of Columbia in Cheverly, Maryland. Surrounded by trees, the Club’s facilities are among the finest in the metropolitan area. The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend and the tennis courts and volleyball courts are accessible until mid-March through January 1, weather permitting.

Facilities

Cheverly Swim and Racquet Club has a 25-meter x 25-yard pool with two lap lanes and 12-foot diving well; a fenced in baby pool; four (4) clay tennis court and two (2) Har-Tru hard courts; and a volleyball court. For the convenience of our members, the club also has chairs, tables and umbrellas around the pool grounds; a snack bar with picnic tables; locker rooms and showers; a ping-pong table, basketball court, and a playground.

New Membership Application

Because our total membership is capped to avoid overcrowding the pool and grounds, we currently have a waitlist for membership.  The waitlist is approximately five (5) years, which is typical for private pools in the DC area.  To apply for membership, complete the application and pay the one-time, non-refundable $50 fee.   

Memberships are offered as resignations are received, so you only need to apply once.  Memberships are assigned in the order they are received.
